New Delhi: The central government can make changes in the Special Protection Group (SPG) Act. According to this, if the SPG security people go abroad, then the SPG security personnel will also be present with them. According to sources, SPG officials had told Rahul Gandhi recently that if he goes on a trip abroad, take the SPG with him. The SPG will protect them in collaboration with external security agencies abroad. But Rahul Gandhi refused.
Even before this, the Gandhi family has rejected this proposal. Therefore, the central government now wants to bring changes in the SPG Act. Under which it will be made necessary that if any SPG security holder goes abroad, he will have to take the SPG team with him.
